What campers say

Fort Massac State Park offers a well-maintained, shady campground with a mix of concrete, asphalt and gravel RV sites, a tent loop, electrical pedestals, central water spigots and a dump station. Bathhouses and restrooms are generally clean and modern, though occasional hot-water or shower‑curtain issues have been reported. Trails, bike paths and a disc‑golf course thread through tree cover, and the Ohio River, boat ramp and fort visitor center provide history and river views. Wildlife sightings are common. At around $20 per night many find it a good value; some visitors have noted occasional river odor.
