Miles of paths and trails allow easy exploration by bike or foot of the county managed park.

Fort De Soto Park Campground offers a scenic, well-maintained waterfront setting with miles of bike trails, beaches, fishing and kayak access. Sites are generally clean with electric/water hookups and convenient bathhouses and snack facilities, though some showers show age. Wildlife (raccoons, crows, parrots) and occasional bugs can be a nuisance after dark, so secure food and trash. The park is popular and busy with limited privacy and reservations fill up months in advance; some guests also report small hassles with laundry and paid beach parking. Overall a beautiful, activity-rich park with typical coastal tradeoffs.
