Fort Custer offers spacious, well‑shaded campsites with a good degree of privacy and a clean, well‑maintained feel. The park includes a lake with a beach and boat launch for swimming, kayaking and fishing, plus a network of trails for hiking. Staff are responsive and restrooms are generally reported as clean. Be prepared for seasonal nuisances—mosquitoes and poison ivy are common—and occasional early‑season facility closures for maintenance.
