Fort Buenaventura Park is an accessible, scenic urban park with a reconstructed historic fort, a well-kept fishing pond, and paved walking paths that are stroller-friendly. It's known for a popular disc golf course, extensive dog park areas with multiple fenced spaces, and well-maintained baseball/softball diamonds. The setting along the river with mature trees makes it pleasant for festivals and camping. Practical tradeoffs include limited shade in some sports areas and turf surfaces that can become very hot; the playground is small. Overall it offers diverse recreational options in a peaceful, convenient location.

📖 About This Campground

Fort Buenaventura Campground in Ogden Utah provides mostly primitive (a few electric hookups are available) tent and RV camping sites on the grounds of the historic fort along the Weber River. A county managed park the sites are available on a first come first served basis. Situated in a wooded setting the sites are best suited to smaller RVs and tent campers (mostly tent sites). Access to trails, the historic fort and the river are available. Paved roads, dirt site pads and concrete patios with picnic tables and fire rings.
