What campers say

Farragut State Park offers a scenic, well‑maintained setting with multiple campgrounds, clean restrooms, hot showers and several sites with full hookups. Recreational options are strong: extensive trails for hiking and mountain biking, frisbee golf and playgrounds, and calm lake water for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and boating. Several beach access points exist, though some shorelines are steep or rocky and easier swimming is concentrated at certain coves. Boat launch or road work has affected access at times. Practical tradeoffs include occasional crowding and reports of high or variable fees plus extra vehicle/processing charges.
