What campers say

Elkhorn Campground is a small, well-maintained site with roughly eight campsites, potable water spigots at each site, and reportedly clean restrooms. A larger group area offers a very large fire pit and a covered pavilion with electrical hookup and lighting, making it convenient for grilling, Dutch-oven cooking, and group meals. The loop fits small trailers (about 15 feet) rather than larger rigs. The setting provides access to hiking and ATV trails with scenic overlooks of Capitol Reef. Expect high-elevation conditions—cooler temperatures and frequent rain—and bring insect repellent due to mosquitoes.
