Eagle Canyon Hideaway offers a well-kept, family-oriented campground with spacious sites, cabins, and a range of amenities — a clean bathhouse with private shower/toilet rooms, coin laundry, a maintained pool and slide, playground, basketball hoop, and an on-site store. Staff are frequently described as friendly and attentive, and some guests praised their helpfulness in emergencies. The setting is peaceful and close to Lake McConaughy, but reaching the lake requires a short drive and the final several miles in are rough and slow; occasional ATV/motorcycle noise has been reported. Overall, a tidy, family-friendly retreat with practical tradeoffs.
