Duck Lake Campground, near Babb, MT, is a quiet, lakefront option for visiting Glacier National Park, roughly 20–30 minutes from St. Mary and Many Glacier entrances. Reviewers commonly praise its scenic lakeside sites, peaceful atmosphere, frequent wildlife sightings, memorable sunsets, and the friendly, accommodating hosts (Matt and Sharon). Cabins and some powered sites are available and feel semi-rustic with basic comforts like electricity and small appliances. Tradeoffs include no onsite running water or showers (showers provided at a sister site), a single shared pit toilet, uneven placement of hookups and picnic tables at some sites, and the potential for heavy mosquitoes in season.

📖 About This Campground

Duck Lake Campground north of St Mary Montana offers 16 partial hookup lakeside RV sites and 6 partial hookup RV sites away from the lake in a Blackfeet Tribal Campground open to the public. Re-opening summer of 2016 the location provides immediate access to the scenic fishing lake and a short drive to Glacier National Park and the Canadian Border. Best suited to tent and small RV/ truck campers the campsites back right up to the lake shore. A boat ramp is available. Nothing fancy, actually a bit rugged, but a unique place to stay. A destination for members of the Blackfeet Tribe you are certain to meet locals.
