Place is really high priced for what you get which is a place to park. There are a number of other lower cost options in the area. If you are going to pay just go to the commercial campground down the road.

What campers say
Diaz Lake Campground offers striking Eastern Sierra views, easy access to Alabama Hills and Hwy 395, and notably dark, starry skies. Sites are mostly flat with picnic tables and fire rings; some are sandy and close together while others have shade near the lake. Amenities are basic: pit toilets, potable spigots, no hookups and the dump station is sometimes unavailable. Expect seasonal tradeoffs, with pleasant breezes and fishing but recurrent bugs and ants and occasional blue-green algae in warm months. Weekdays tend to be quiet and affordable, while holiday weekends can be crowded, noisy and littered.
