Visitors may rent motorboats, patio boats, peddle boats, canoes, and kayaks at the marina, and any size boat may be launched at the public boat ramp.

Facilities include clean restrooms and showers and a small entrance store selling ice, firewood, and snacks. Wildlife is abundant — deer, wild turkeys and a variety of waterfowl are commonly seen. Practical tradeoffs: the lake can have low water or algae-related swimming restrictions, some sites lack shade, summer heat and flies can be an issue, and cell/internet service is limited.
