What campers say
Deerlodge Park Campground is a small, first-come, first-served riverside site on the Yampa within Dinosaur National Monument with roughly seven to ten walk-in campsites. Sites typically have picnic tables, fire rings, seasonal potable water and vault restrooms; cottonwood shade and direct river access make it good for swimming, hiking and stargazing. A small nightly fee is charged. Practical tradeoffs: it’s a popular put-in for rafters so spring and summer weekends can be noisy and crowded, wind and mosquitoes are occasionally problematic, and campers should plan to bring their own firewood and expect limited RV access.
