What campers say
Culhane Lake State Forest Campground is a small, remote lakeside site with roughly a dozen to fifteen primitive campsites and strong lake views, sunsets and starry night skies. Sites are generally clean and maintained, and the camp host is helpful; each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities are basic: vault/pit toilets, one hand‑pump water source, no electricity or dump station, and first‑come, first‑served camping (typical fee about $15/night). Access is via washboard dirt roads with limited cell service. Great for off‑grid camping and fishing, though sites can be close together and occasional late‑night noise has been reported.
