Creeper Trail Campground is a well-kept, family-run mountaintop site with roomy campsites, picnic tables, and fire rings. Owners (Johnny and family) are repeatedly praised for being friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Facilities stand out: a clean bathhouse with notably good hot, rain-style showers, plus a small camp store and café serving homemade breakfasts, pizza nights and some vegan options. Unlit sites make for excellent stargazing. The Creeper Trail is a primary draw, though part of the trail has been under repair so some visitors drive to Damascus or use shuttles. Wi-Fi is strongest at the store/bathhouse; a few sites pick up signal.
