About this campground
What campers say
Cougar Rock Campground sits inside Mount Rainier National Park and works well as a base for Paradise-area hikes—about a 20-minute drive to visitor centers and trailheads. Sites are generally well maintained with potable water, food lockers, and clean flush toilets; a dish-wash sink is available. The rangers and staff are described as friendly and informative. Sites are on the small side and relatively close together—foliage can help privacy but nearby lights, children or generators may carry—so it's better suited to tents and smaller rigs than very large RVs. No hookups or showers; park entrance fee is separate.
