Convict Lake Campground sits in a striking mountain setting with easy lake access, frequent wildlife sightings, and strong fishing opportunities. Sites vary — some back onto a creek or meadow and offer privacy, while others are exposed to road, sun and wind — so location matters. Sites are gravel with tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings and bear lockers; restrooms are reported clean but there are no on-site showers or potable water. A small resort/store and camp hosts help with supplies. Expect limited shade, variable cell service and busy summer booking; bring windproof shelter, water and bear-safe food storage.

Convict Lake Campground near Mammoth Lakes California provides 88 sites 48 of which may be reserved/ 40 sites are available on a first come first served basis. RV and tent campers are welcome, the campsites have a fire ring and picnic table, potable water is available and there is a dump station. There are no hook-ups.
