What campers say

Colusa-Sacramento River State Recreation Area is a small, town-adjacent campground sitting above the levee with easy access and a boat launch, making it popular with anglers. Sites are shaded and compact; some are tight for larger rigs. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful river setting for overnight stays or family camping, while others note occasional town noise or wildlife/stray dogs that can disturb sleep. Facilities are basic - fees apply for camping, day use, and the boat ramp - and bathroom cleanliness and shower temperature have received mixed reports. Park hosts are generally helpful and the site is convenient for fishing outings.
