Coastal Dunes RV Park sits in a long, narrow strip between Highway 1 and the railroad, so road and occasional train noise is commonly reported. It’s very close to the dunes and beach — a short walk or drive — and has many basic, full‑hookup sites, fire pits, restrooms, showers and laundry. Sites vary: some are tight or shaded by low branches, others are long‑term rentals, and power and water pressure can be inconsistent at certain hookups. Staff and park rangers are often praised for being friendly, though enforcement of site use can be hit or miss. Good budget option if you prioritize location over quiet or upscale amenities.

Coastal Dunes RV Park in Oceano California offers 232 campsites to accommodate RV trailers up to 40 feet. Pull through sites feature electric, water, sewer and cable TV hookups. Back-in sites include electric, water and sewer. Please note that this park is adjacent to the railroad tracks with an Amtrak Station just up the road. Managed by the County the park shows serious signs of deferred maintenance and also serves as home to the whims of elected officials (do not be surprised to find homeless camps). Better choices are available elsewhere. Long term guests do tend to be separated from short term guests.
