What campers say

Christmas Meadows Campground offers scenic, well‑maintained sites with clean restrooms, potable water, picnic tables, and attentive camp hosts. It’s a popular base for hiking and fishing—the setting is lush and close to trails and the Stillwater Fork—though fishing reports are mixed, ranging from excellent catches to slow stretches. Expect a bumpy several‑mile dirt service road in; low‑clearance or non‑SUV cars may struggle. Wildlife sightings (moose, deer and occasional bears) have been reported, so take normal precautions. Overall it’s praised for cleanliness and views, but plan for rustic access.
