Choteua City Park Campground in Choteau Montana is a city managed park providing inexpensive camping for a 3 day limit to travelers passing through town (usually heading to or coming from Glacier National Park). A mix of larger and smaller RV sites on mowed natural grass/ weeds there are two camping sections. The first is out in front and will be the first you see on approach; these sites are not as pretty. If you circle around to the back past the bathrooms and next to the ball fields are a bunch of large sites tucked in among old growth trees; prettier and quieter. The city park has a walking path, playground, and the aforementioned bathroom and ball fields. Nothing fancy but suitable for a short stay. There is a water fill in the front section along with a dump station. As of 2016 the nightly rate was $8 paid to the iron ranger. Choteua is a rural farming community with a small downtown area.
