What campers say
This park offers a convenient Chincoteague location, air‑conditioned cabins and an on‑site waterpark, which appeal to families. However reviewers frequently note inconsistent staffing and customer service, crowded or limited waterpark availability on busy weekends, and occasional closed or broken amenities (arcade, jumping pad, camp store). Cleanliness and maintenance issues were reported for bathhouses, RV rentals (mattress, dishes, ants) and unreliable Wi‑Fi. Strict check‑in times and some site management problems after storms were also mentioned. Families seeking convenience and activities may enjoy the setting, but should expect variability in service and upkeep.

New waterpark opened next door "A new water park on Chincoteague has been welcoming visitors for a couple of weeks now, but it will have its grand opening celebration Friday, June 29, at 3 p.m. The event at Maui Jack's is open to the public and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony by local dignitaries and representatives from Blue Water Development, owners of the water park and the adjacent Chincoteague Island KOA campground."
