Chincoteague Island KOA (formerly Maddox Family Campground) in Chincoteague Island Virginia offers full hookup RV and tent camping for short and seasonal stays close to the beach. Recently renovated the park has added new guest convenience including laundry, tiki bar, and new cottages. Set among large trees the campground sites are set among parking rows. guests have access to area attractions and paths to kayak/ canoe launches.

New waterpark opened next door "A new water park on Chincoteague has been welcoming visitors for a couple of weeks now, but it will have its grand opening celebration Friday, June 29, at 3 p.m. The event at Maui Jack's is open to the public and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony by local dignitaries and representatives from Blue Water Development, owners of the water park and the adjacent Chincoteague Island KOA campground."
