What campers say
Chief Joseph Park is a small, well-kept city campground with level, pea-gravel sites, several pull-through pads, electric and potable water hookups (30-amp reported), and a simple pay station with no attendant. Sites are affordable (about $20 with electric, $12 without) and often lightly used. Amenities include clean restrooms (sometimes heated), picnic areas, a playground, a creek, fishing pond and trails for walking or biking; deer are commonly seen. Tradeoffs: there are no showers, and occasional town traffic or curious passersby can be noticeable. Good option for overnight RVs or quiet tent stays.
