Charles Waters Campground is a beautifully developed, heavily shaded forest retreat nestled in the foothills of the Bitterroot National Forest along the banks of Bass Creek. Located just minutes off Highway 93 between Florence and Stevensville, Montana, this versatile 27-site campground features clean paved asphalt loops and level parking pads that can accommodate trailers and RVs up to 70 feet. Serving as a prime launching pad for the Bass Creek Recreation Area and the expansive Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, it offers unique specialized sites for equestrians, cyclists, and an ADA-accessible site equipped with electrical hookups. Complete with potable water spigots, vault toilets, a seasonal camp host, and an open recreation meadow, it effortlessly blends authentic "Big Sky" wilderness access with convenient, well-maintained paving.
