Campfire Lodge Resort sits right on the river and is repeatedly praised for an outstanding, generous breakfast - large pancakes, ham steak and cinnamon rolls - served by friendly, attentive staff. The cabins are described as cozy with comfortable beds and great river views with wildlife sightings. Practical tradeoffs include occasional upkeep issues: poison ivy near cabins, aging laundry and dryers that take many quarters, and tight backing for some RV sites. A few visitors found payment and tipping interactions awkward. Overall it’s recommended for a scenic, food-focused stay if you’re prepared for modest on-site maintenance quirks.
