A very convenient spot for an overnight or short-term stay when traveling through Sacramento the rate is currently $45 per night we paid an extra $5 for second car in an extra $10 for a late check-out. The biggest advantage of the spark is the location and the immediate access to the American River Bikeway Spike way is used by joggers Walkers cyclist in any other type of human propelled exercise allowing you to travel all the way up to Folsom Lake or down to Sacramento When we arrive late Sunday we pulled the bikes out and went for a good one hour John octopath I’m back home it was beautiful. Park has two sections first section the one you see when you pull in is a pave lot with RV sites sites in roads in this area are all paid and the sites Rd are delineated by painted lines the biggest issue with this lot is that it has a large slope to it so all of the sight or unlevel the second area is it packed gravel lot that is used for larger RVs in our case that’s Lightfoot perfectly level. Office staff was helpful and knife there is only one restroom shower facility in Matt is in the main office there’s a small fenced dog run over in the paved area. This area of Sacramento has a large homeless population so the park is very active on security with bright lights at night and on-site security overnight

“Sacramento city officials are proposing that a Cal Expo parking lot at the southeast end of Ethan Way near the RV park as a potential site for a 100-bed Sprung tent homeless shelter.

The city is offering to pay $1,625 per month – or $19,500 a year – to the California Exposition & State Fair, which owns the lot, according to a Jan. 25 letter from Assistant City Manager Chris Conlin to Cal Expo CEO Rick Pickering.

On Thursday, city officials presented the idea to the Cal Expo Board of Directors’ Long Range Planning Committee. The Cal Expo board of directors directed its staff to continue to work with city staff on the project but with some requests, said Margaret Mohr, Cal Expo’s deputy general manager of business development and marketing.”

Okay for a few night stay. Very quiet at night and access to the American River Bike Trail is right outside the entrance. Just a big parking lot, gravel or paved with lights so bright at night that you feel like you are in a prison yard. They are real vigilant about security even asking me why I was taking video with my camera; as a paying guest I can take any pictures I want. Their internet was slow but Verizon 3g and 4g worked fine. Would stay again for short visits. Close to major retail and restaurants plus the weekend horse racing was cool to see and hear. Paid $35 per night which was a bit high for what you get.
