What campers say
Caballo Lake State Park offers varied camping across three distinct areas with many sites providing water and electric hookups and several offering sewer; an RV dump and water refill are available. Campsites are level, often with gazebos or rock walls, and restrooms and hot showers are frequently described as very clean. The lake and trails provide scenic views and wildlife sightings, though some sites require a short drive to the water. Staff are generally helpful and sites range from hookup to secluded primitive spots (4WD useful). Note state park fees add to campsite cost and a few visitors reported occasional trash or loose dogs.
