Butte KOA Journey is a convenient, well-kept stop just off the highway with easy pull-through RV sites, solid hookups, and quick access to downtown, a visitor center and a pleasant nature trail. Staff are generally friendly and the park shows pride of care; pet owners appreciate a dog wash. Expect tradeoffs: highway traffic noise and limited shade, and many sites are gravel/dirt that puddle when wet. Amenities are decent — a small pool and reliable Wi‑Fi — but several guests report recurring laundry and restroom maintenance issues and occasional disruptive or smoky campers, so light sleepers should plan accordingly.
