What campers say

Brush Lake State Park offers a clean, quiet prairie lakeside setting with a sandy beach, clear water, and wide sky views—ideal for swimming, kayaking, and family visits. The campground is basic but well-kept: electric sites, pit toilets, and a single potable water pump; sites are large but exposed, so bring shade and expect wind. Cell service is limited a few miles out. Anglers should note the lake is reported to have few fish; a small number of visitors have also mentioned tiny crustaceans that can stick to skin. Staff onsite are friendly, and the short walk to the swim area is scenic.
