We enjoyed our one night stay here on route to home. The river is right there and we enjoyed watching (pretty sure) vultures along the ridge . Next to a railroad but don’t remember being bothered by train noise. It was busy, lots of use. Has a little playground, kids had fun.

The Upper Wind River Campground just north of Shoshoni, WY's Boysen Reservoir, is our overnight RV stop when on our way to Yellowstone. It is a WY state park with a very reasonable overnight camping fee located along the Wind River. Most of the sites are gravel pull-through with minimal amenities, usually a fire ring. There is some highway noise, with train tracks on the other side of the river - infrequent use! It is a great overnight stop between Cheyenne and Cody! Since the Wind River flows northbound, the upper campground is south of the lower, which is just a mile or so further north.
