What campers say

Birch Point Beach is a small, scenic Maine spot with sandy and rocky shoreline, clear water, and pleasant views. It has a low honor‑system entrance fee (roughly a few dollars) and basic pit toilets. Expect a band of seaweed near the shallows, cold water in summer, and dark sand/rock underfoot—water shoes help. The lot is modest and weekends fill fast, so arrive early; the gate closes in the evening. Good for families, paddling, swimming and exploring tidepools. Note that a boggy/sulfurous smell is occasional, and the dog policy appears inconsistent, so check signage on arrival.
