Big Creek Park is a well-maintained, family-friendly campground with a sandy swim area, fishing spots, hiking/nature trails, playgrounds, and large sites for RVs plus a separate primitive tent area. Cabins are frequently described as clean, attractive, and affordably priced. Staff and on-site security are generally reported as friendly and helpful. Restroom facilities are older but kept very clean. The lake offers good opportunities for kayaking and fishing, though summer water can be quite warm. Visitors report a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and that the park has been carefully restored after past storm damage.
