Belvedere Lake Resort sits in a pretty, remote setting and offers a lot of family-oriented amenities — a lake/beach, small golf course, seasonal events and activities — and a welcoming, helpful staff. Many sites are occupied by seasonal RVs with personal landscaping, and frequent golf cart traffic contributes to noise and a more campground-community feel than a wilderness experience. Practical tradeoffs include dated facilities, extra fees for some services (showers typically require $0.50 for about five minutes) and occasional hot-water issues. Tent sites and busy weekend fields can feel tight, and on-site store prices are high.
