What campers say

Battle Ground Lake State Park is a compact, well‑maintained PNW campground centered on a calm, scenic lake with abundant wildlife and good paddleboarding or kayaking. Campsites and cabins are clean and the bathrooms/showers are generally well kept; some sites sit above the lake and require hauling gear up a steep walk, so a wagon helps. There are paved lots and paths, paddle/kayak rentals and limited concessions (hours can vary), firewood sales, and helpful park hosts. Dogs are allowed on leash but not in the lake. Expect a small parking fee or Discover Pass and several pleasant walking trails around the lake.
