Barrett Cove Recreation Area offers scenic, mountainous lake views, walking trails, picnic spots and family-friendly features like a kids swim/play area, playground and fishing. There are many campsites and basic amenities, restrooms, some showers, a small store, RV dump and water, but several reviewers note campsites can be steep, uneven or set back from the water. Bathrooms and shower facilities are functional but in need of cleaning or updating. The park charges a modest entry fee (about $10) and is dog-friendly on leash; occasional events and helpful staff add to the appeal.
