Incredible location, removed from the interstate, and nestled in the shade of a magnificent red rock cliff beside one of the nation's only natural arch bridges located over a body of water. Camping is free, though a donation is welcome. The park's caretaker lives on the grounds and is happy to share information about the locale and its history. The camp and its access road cannot accommodate large RVs, but if you have a camper van, truck or small trailer, you'll not find a more scenic location.

What campers say
Ayres Natural Bridge Park is a well-kept oasis featuring a striking limestone bridge with clear, shallow creek water good for wading, short hikes and a trail up to the top. The park offers plentiful parking, clean restrooms, picnic tables and grills, and a small playground, making it family-friendly. Maintenance and the scenic setting are frequently praised. Practical tradeoffs include a limited number of small campsites (some with posted vehicle length limits) and a strict no-pet policy noted by many visitors. Overall, a peaceful, easy-to-access stop for a day visit or brief overnight stay.
