Avay Up Nort is a small, quiet campground about 2 miles from Itasca State Park with large sites and basic hookups. Many sites include a picnic table, trash bin, hose and electrical hookup; the park has a bathhouse with showers, separate restrooms, washer/dryer and a dump station, plus a small playground. The on-site host is generally friendly and responsive and helpful with arrivals. Reviewers mention the grounds are mostly well kept and peaceful, but upkeep can be uneven at times. Expect farm animals on-site and associated flies or mosquitoes, occasional shower cleanliness issues, and mixed views on pricing.
