Astico Park is a peaceful, well-maintained spot with scenic river views, extensive walking trails (around a 2–2.5 mile loop), and good wildlife- and bird-watching opportunities. Campground amenities include multiple restrooms and shower buildings (some recently updated), electricity, potable water and likely a dump station, plus canoe rentals. Sites range from sunny, paved level pads with limited shade to riverside tent spots; dogs are allowed. Expect excellent night skies on the hill. Tradeoffs: summer can be buggy near the water, fishing is variable, and occasional construction or activity may occur during improvements.
