What campers say

Anderson Cove Campground sits on a scenic reservoir with easy beach access, dramatic sunsets and dark, starry nights. Camp hosts are repeatedly praised for being friendly and helpful. Sites offer picnic tables and large fire rings; many are shaded but layout and tree cover vary, so some campsites can feel exposed or noisy near the road. Facilities are basic: potable water and restrooms are available but there are no showers or electrical hookups, and some toilets are vault-style. A small check-in store sells essentials at premium prices. Pet access and staff responsiveness have mixed reports, so confirm rules and reservations before arriving.

📖 About This Campground

Anderson Cove Campground in Huntsville Utah is a US Forest Service campground (Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest) offering primitive (no hookup) RV and tent camping in a well manicured campground along the shores of Pineview Reservoir. Fishing, boating and outdoor recreation highlight this location 10 miles from Ogden. A bit pricey for primitive hookups the park includes a boat ramp and beach area. The RV sites are well spaced with good shade trees at nearly every site. On the east side of the park, near the day use and beach area, are primitive walk in tent sites. The sites can be very nice but the roadway is dirt and very dusty. Paved roads and site parking pads with shade trees. A dump station is available along with water fill. The park is home to a large team of work-campers who keep the ark hopping. There is a pay gate at the entrance keeping interior traffic down significantly.
