What campers say
American Heritage Campground is a family-run, well-kept, wooded park just off I‑5 near Olympia that often feels private despite its convenient location. Guests commonly praise friendly, accommodating staff, large shaded sites separated by trees, and family- and dog-friendly amenities such as a playground, dog park, seasonal pool, laundry, small store, propane/firewood, disc golf, walking and bike areas, and a few on-site animals. Many find it good value and peaceful. A practical tradeoff: a few guests reported bathroom maintenance issues (mold and broken locks) and the pool can be closed outside peak season.
