Allegany Mountain Resort at Rainbow Lake is a private, members-only lakeside campground that’s well kept and family-friendly, offering swimming pools, mini golf, tennis and basketball courts, canoeing/boating, cabins and RV sites. Visitors commonly note friendly, helpful staff, a pleasant cafe, clean grounds and lots of activities for kids and adults. Practical tradeoffs: the resort can be busy in peak season, some campsites sit close together, a few cabins lack air conditioning, and on-site Wi‑Fi is limited (management has indicated work is underway to improve it).
