What campers say
Aguirre Spring Campground sits on the back side of the Organ Mountains with striking views and several trailheads nearby. Sites are generally clean, with sturdy pavilions, picnic tables, fire rings, bear‑proof trash cans and potable water at the entrance; vault toilets are provided but can be inconsistently stocked. This is dry camping with no hookups; tap‑to‑pay kiosks accept cards. The access road is steep and winding and some sites are tight or uneven, so very large rigs may struggle. Gate closing times are strictly enforced. Expect good hiking, quieter off‑season stays, and occasional daytime bugs or noisy neighbors.
