Hosts are consistently described as welcoming and attentive. Many sites offer full hookups, though some lack sewer and the on-site dump can be inconveniently located, so plan accordingly. The access road includes several miles of gravel and cell/internet service is limited — part of the off-grid appeal but a practical tradeoff. The campground is quiet, close to trails and roughly a 15-minute drive to Cloudcroft, making it a good base for exploring the area.
