Kettle Moraine State Forest – Ottawa Lake Campground in Dousman Wisconsin is the only year-round campground in the southern unit. It offers 100 sites, including 49 electrical sites adjacent to a recreational lake.
Northern Highlands American Legion State Forest Sandy Beach Lake Campground in Park Falls Wisconsin near Park Falls Wisconsin offers primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping in a wooded setting adjacent to a small lake. Vault toilets and drinking water available. First come first served
Lake Emily Park Campground in Amherst Junction Wisconsin is a 143-acre park and campground has 67 campsites and an enclosed lodge. Situated around the namesake lake guests can launch boats, hike trails, play on playgrounds and ball-fields, and overall enjoy the county park location.
The campground is open from May 1st to October 31st. The north campground has 51 sites and the new south campground has 15 sites. All sites except the tent sites are provided with electrical hookups. Approximately half the sites are reservable.
The sites can be reserved by contacting the Parks Office. Reservations are made at the Portage County Parks office, either in person, through the mail or on this website with Master Card or VISA and must be made at least 7 days in advance of when a site is to be occupied. The campground also has two handicapped sites that can be reserved.
Frenchman’s Landing Campground in Eastman Wisconsin offers partial hookup RV and tent camping adjacent to the Mississippi River.
Holtwood Campground in Oconto Wisconsin offers full hookup RV and tent camping for short and seasonal stays in a city run park adjacent to the calm waters of the Oconto River. Set in a wooded setting the park is accessible to any sized RV with all paved roads. Set on a peninsula in the middle of town the park is popular with seasonal guests but does keep sites available for short term guests. All sites are set on mowed grass with options for interior or water front sites. The community park has a pool (extra fee), ball fields, disc golf course, playgrounds, kayaks and an overall family friendly environment. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings.
Pineland Camping Park in Arkdale Wisconsin offers full hookup RV and tent camping for short and seasonal stays.
Skillet Creek Campground in Baraboo Wisconsin offers full hookup RV and tent camping in a well kept setting. The park has a number of seasonal sites and mix in short term sites also. The park has plenty of space between sites along with mowed grass. A small pond on site the park can accommodate bigger RVs but not big rigs.
