Cullman Campground is a 40-acre RV park gem in Cullman, Alabama. You’ll feel at home in our RV & tiny cabin community — close to the interstate but quiet and peaceful.

    RV Camping

    We have 40 full hook-up sites. Full hook-ups include a minimum of 50-amp electric service, sewage, and water. All spots are back-in spots with 65 feet for the RV, another 12-foot spot for a towed vehicle and a nice spot for you to enjoy the beauty of Grand Vue Park with a firepit and picnic area.  The campground area consists of two bath houses. The views of the Ohio Valley will be breathtaking from your spots!

    Tent Camping

    At the end of the RV camping sites you will be able to enjoy a nice area nestled up against the tree line of tent camping sites. We will have a variety of size sites that will be for groups, two or three tents or just one tent. There will be a restroom station nearby with an outside shower to clean up your feet after a long day enjoying the park. There are also two bath houses that you can utilize as well  Firepits will also be provided for making those tasteful smores that you can purchase from our general store!

    Head to Bulltown Campground to experience the scenery and historic significance of this central West Virginia region. The large campground is on the edge of Burnsville Lake, just beside the Bulltown Historic Area. This spot occupies the site of a Civil War battle, where reenactments of the historic event take place twice a year.

     

    The campground offers nearly 200 campsites. Playgrounds and showers on located within each loop. A boat ramp is within the campground and a beach is about a mile away. The campground is near the headwaters of Burnsville Lake on the Little Kanawha River. The hilly, forested region lies at the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, just west of the Allegheny Plateau.

    Take a trip back in time at the Bulltown Historical Village to get a taste of life during the Civil War era. Other activities include hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, fishing, hunting and picnicking.

    East Fork Campground is located on the shores of East Lynn Lake on the East Fork of Twelvepole Creek, near East Lynn, WV. Visitors come to East Fork for camping, boating, water-skiing, fishing, hiking, hunting and picnicking.

    The campground offers 167 sites with electrical and/or water hookups. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, and a dump station. A boat ramp, amphitheater, playground, and basketball and volleyball courts are on-site.

    East Lynn Lake stretches 12 miles up Twelvepole and offers 44 miles of shoreline. It provides many recreational activities, including boating, water skiing, canoeing and swimming. Anglers fish for largemouth, smallmouth, and striped bass, black crappie, red-breast sunfish, walleye, channel catfish and muskellunge. 29 species of fish have been found in the lake. Several miles of hiking trails thread through the wooded hills on the lakeshore, including the 1.5-mile East Fork Trail, which begins within the campground. Other trails in the area include the Damsite Trail, Overlook Trail and Lakeside Trail.

     

     

    Lake Sherwood Recreation Area is a complete family destination offering a wide variety of activities and camping options. Standard, tent-only and group camping facilities are perched along Lake Sherwood, the largest lake in the Monongahela National Forest. Swimming beaches, a picnic area, boat ramp and several hiking trails are among the features of the area.

    Each campsite has a parking spur, tent pad, picnic table, fire ring and lantern post. Showers are accessible. All camping areas are served by restrooms with running water, flush toilets, hot showers and electricity (available during the summer season only). In the spring and fall, vault toilets and a hand pump well are available. The parking aprons are gravel and some are up to 20 feet wide. No electrical, sewage or water hook-ups are available, but there is a dump station on-site. Other amenities include a playground, picnic shelters and volleyball courts.
    Anglers seek tiger muskie, channel catfish, bullhead, bluegill and largemouth bass. Boating is a big draw as well. Hikers have the option of exploring Lake Sherwood Trail, Upper Meadow Trail, Meadow Mountain Trail and Meadow Creek.

    Gerald Freeman Camp is nestled in the headwaters of Sutton Lake in central West Virginia, 70 miles north of Charleston. The area provides a wide variety of recreational activities, including boating, swimming, fishing and hiking.

    This large campground offers 158 campsites. 113 sites have electric hookups and 37 sites have full hookups. Boat ramps and a marina with a snack bar are located on-site. Younger visitors love the campground’s playgrounds and basketball courts. Other facilities include hot showers, flush toilets, water fountains, and two trailer water / dump stations.

    Anglers find plentiful bass, crappie, catfish and sunfish in the lake. The Elk River below Sutton Dam is well-known for its muskie and walleye fishing, and trout are stocked in the Downstream area. Fire roads and hunting trails in the surrounding lands provide great hiking and biking opportunities around Sutton Lake and at the nearby Elk River Wildlife Management Area. A variety of campground activities are scheduled throughout the summer for children of all ages.

    The Robert W. Craig Campground is located off West Virginia State Highway Route 46, five miles from Elk Garden, West Virginia. The campground is located very close to Jennings Randolph Lake which provides many recreational opportunities including boating, swimming, picnicking, scenic overlooks and fishing. The resident bald eagles have been breeding at Jennings Randolph Lake for over 10 years. Bring binoculars for the opportunity to spot an eagle’s nest.

    The pavilion includes a 30′ by 40′ canopy to protect you from the weather and is equipped with lights, electrical outlets, running water and approximately nine picnic tables. A handicap accessible portable toilet is also located nearby. There is a shower house and full bathroom located in the front loop of the campground, as well as another half bathroom located at the back loop of the campground. The electric sites offer up to 50 AMP service and there is a water fill-up station located near the entrance station after you check into the campground. Before you leave, there is also a dump station available for you to empty the sewage tank of your camper.

    During your stay at the campground, enjoy playing a game of horse shoes or hiking the Sunset Trail, High Timber Trail or the 3D Archery Trail. There is also a playground, sandbox, and a swing set available for kids to play on. Located behind the Campground Store, the Kalbaugh Pond appeals to anglers for its stocked largemouth and small mouth bass, blue gill, and catfish. At the pavilion, shoot some hoops on the basketball court or play a game of horse shoes. Birders will love the Songbird Trail and the High Timber Trail provides 28 varieties of labeled tree species. With the trailhead adjacent to the pavilion, visitors can try out the new 3D Archery Range. Hiking trails can be accessed from the campground.

     

     

    Trout Pond Recreation Area boasts two bodies of water, Rock Cliff Lake and Trout Pond. Relax on a sandy mountain beach or fish for stocked trout while relaxing along the cool waters of Rock Cliff Lake. Trout Pond, home to native Brook trout, is the only natural lake in West Virginia. A designated swimming area, easy lakeside trails, and a children’s playground make this a perfect family destination.

    Campsites come with a campfire ring and picnic table, and some of have electric hookups. Hot showers and flush toilets are an easy walk away from each site. The day-use area includes a white-sand swim beach, boat ramp, showers, playground and 30 picnic sites.

    A trail surrounding the entire lake provides bank fishing access at Rock Cliff Lake. All types of boating from motor to sailboats are welcome. Hike the Trout Pond Loop trail, an easy 4-mile excursion, with an optional 2-mile side route, to an overlook of Rockcliff Lake. For a more challenging hike, a connecting trail provides a steep climb up Long and Devil’s Hole Mountains.

    Stuart Recreation Area is set in a mixed forest along the banks of the Shavers Fork River. The river provides excellent fishing and is regularly stocked with trout. Hiking trails lead to outstanding overlooks, local caves and Blackwater Falls.

    The campground lies on a single loop with long spurs. Drinking water and accessible flush toilets and showers are provided, with a dump station is on-site. Each site comes with a campfire ring, tent pad, lantern post and electric hookups. The day-use area has three picnic pavilions with maintained fields and a beach on the riverfront.

    The campground is perched along a bend on the Shavers Fork River. Shavers is a tributary of the Cheat River, a popular rafting river with rocky rapids. Stuart is in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia. The Monongahela Forest extends over the north central highlands of the state, straddling many of the region’s highest peaks. Elevations here range from 1,000 to 4,863 feet above sea level.

    River swimming is a lot of fun, and there are plenty of trout to tempt anglers of all skill levels. The 2-mile River Loop Hiking Trail is enjoyed by many visitors, and is a great way to watch for birds and wildlife.

    Spruce Knob Lake Campground is tucked in a beautiful hardwood forest less than a mile from Spruce Knob Lake. The campground provides a peaceful setting with easy access to boating on the lake and hiking through the mountainous region. Spruce Knob is the highest peak in West Virginia. A stone and steel observation tower is perched atop the peak, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the area.

    The campground is situated on a wooded ridge overlooking the lake. To the east is 4,863′ Spruce Knob. The vegetation atop Spruce Knob has adapted to a harsh, exposed environment. One-sided red spruce deformed by constant exposure to strong westerly winds cling to the high rocky ridges. Blueberry and huckleberry plants cover the ground. Due to its location, the campground may experience cold fogs and strong winds year-round.

    Sixty miles of picturesque hiking trails crisscross the region, and the campground provides direct access to the pleasant 1-mile Big Bend River Loop. Trout fishing is available nearby at 25-acre Spruce Knob Lake, and in surrounding creeks. Facilities at the lake include a small boat ramp, parking area and vault toilets. A wooden pier along the shoreline provides barrier-free access to the lake.No swimming is allowed.

    Battle Run Campground is conveniently located just south of Summersville, West Virginia, on the shores of the largest lake in the state. Superb water quality and sheer sandstone cliffs make Summersville Lake a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

    This large waterfront campground offers 110 campsites with electric hookups, along with seven primitive walk-to tent sites. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, laundry facilities and a dump station. An accessible boat ramp and fishing dock are on-site. Younger campers love the park’s playground, nature trails, and large shade trees.

    Scenic Summersville Lake is known for its striking cliffs and quiet coves along 60 beautiful miles of shoreline. Dense forests of maple, oak, hickory, beech and birch trees cover the region. Wildlife, including black bear, deer, grouse and turkey, is abundant in the area.

    The 2790-acre lake provides excellent boating, water skiing, swimming, and scuba diving. Anglers will find large and smallmouth bass, walleye, panfish, and catfish. Trout are stocked below the dam in spring and fall. Visitors also enjoy the great hiking, biking, hunting, geocaching, and picnicking opportunities on the lands surrounding the lake. For high adventure seekers, whitewater rafting is available year-round on the world class Gauley River. The Summersville Lake area also offers technical rock climbing.

    Horseshoe Recreation Area is located in north-central West Virginia, 7 miles from the town of St. George. The campground is tucked in a valley along the Horseshoe Run River, providing excellent opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing.

    Each site offers picnic tables, grills, and waste receptacles and standard sites have electric hookups. There are accessible vault toilets and non-accessible flush toilets. Hand pumps and a drinking fountain with faucet are available. The camp store sells firewood and ice. The two group picnic shelters are accessible. The large electric pavilion has an occupancy limit of 75, and the small non-electric pavilion has an occupancy limit of 10.

    Within the recreation area, open fields are mowed and gravel roads are maintained along the river. The Monongahela Forest extends over the north central highlands of the state, straddling many of the region’s highest peaks. Elevation ranges from 1,000 to 4,863 feet above sea level. Variations in terrain and precipitation have created one of the most ecologically diverse national forests in the country.

     

    Big Bend is a family-oriented campground along a bend on the South Branch Potomac River in Smoke Hole Canyon. With its convenient position on the river, the campground creates a recreation hub for fishing, tubing, kayaking and swimming. About 1.3 million people visit the Monongahela National Forest each year. The forest is a drivable distance from metropolises like Washington, D.C., and Pittsburg, yet still offers a remote and scenic camping getaway.

    Big Bend offers 46 sites; 18 sites are non-reservable. Twelve sites on the river loop have tent pads. All sites have a lantern holder, picnic table and fire ring. Drinking water is available. There are two pit toilets, one shower house, and flush toilet restrooms in each loop. There is also a dump and fill station.

    Big Bend Campground is in the northern portion of the Monongahela National Forest, boasting beautiful old growth trees that become vibrant with color in fall. The river runs north through the Smoke Hole Canyon, which bears a name of uncertain origin. One theory is Native Americans used the caves of the gorge for smoking meat, which created “smoke holes.” Another is that misty fog often lies along the river and ascends in what looks like smoke from a hole.  The Big Bend Loop Trail is a one-mile nature trail that circles the campground. The majority of the trail follows along the river bend. Thirty miles of maintained trails can be found nearby, and mountain biking is permitted on most trails.

    Twin Branch Resort in Davy West Virginia is a Brand New Campground that has been under construction since 2019 and just opened up in McDowell County, WV. Offering Cabin Rentals – Direct Trail Access – RV sites w/ electric and water hook ups – Tent Sites – SXS & ATV Rentals – Full Service Repair shop – Campground Store ALL on site and and built around a 6 acre lake!

    Doddridge County Park Campground and RV Park in West Union West Virginia provides full hookup RV camping, tent camping and yurts in a county run park. Recently developed and opened (2018) the facility provides backin style RV sites across the river from the main campground. Hiking trails and park amenities are available. A restroom with showers is available as is a small store.

    The park is also home to the Doddridge County High School cross county team, which uses the park for conditioning purposes.

    In addition to those activities, the Doddridge County Park is also surrounded by the Meathouse Fork Creek. The creek offers kayakers an opportunity to set their vessels in the water and take a leisurely float around the park until they reach the take-out spot.

    The creek also offers fishing opportunities for various species of fish, including bluegill, muskie, bass and catfish.

    Doddridge County Park Campground and RV Park has multiple shelters, a pool, volleyball courts, baseball fields and basketball courts a children’s playground suitable for kids 5 and up and a Little Tykes play area for smaller children to use.

    New River Park Campground in Buckley West Virginia provides 17 full hookup RV and tent camping sites in a city run park. Adjacent to Exhibition Coal Mine & Youth Museum. A single direction paved road enters and loops back out within the small campground. The sites are paved and have picnic tables. Set in an open area surrounded by trees the location is situated within the town and guests have access to the park.

    Rifrafters Campground in Fayetteville West Virginia provides full, partial and primitive hookup RV and tent camping in a rural setting. Paved roads with options for concrete parking pads, gravel or grass areas. Plenty of mowed grass all around the park has good spacing between sites and many different site options. The park has plenty of trees around. Guests have access to picnic tables, fire rings and a bathroom with showers. The park is under new owners who took over in 2017; significant improvements have been made to the property.

    From the park we are small family owned campground where everyone is treated like friends. We are located 2 miles south of the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, WV. It is a quiet, relaxing campground. So after a long day of adventure on the gorge, you can enjoy a quiet evening by the fire.
