Chittenden Brook Campground is situated in a beautiful northern hardwoods forest, approximately seven miles from Rochester, VT. It is a small and semi-remote campground, perfect for those who seek a more tranquil camping experience.

    The campground offers 17 overnight sites for tent and small RV camping (maximum 18′). Each site has a picnic table, fire ring with a grill, parking spur with space for two cars, and a gravel tent pad. There are two barrier-free vault toilets, but there is no potable water available. There is a recycling and trash station at the end of the campground loop. The campground also offers several first-come, first-served sites along with sites that can be reserved.

    The campground is located along Chittenden Brook, a pristine mountain stream that feeds into the White River. Wildlife located in this area includes white-tailed deer, moose, and black bear.

    With an abundance of well-maintained trails, mountain vistas, waterfalls, and streams, the Chittenden Brook area offers plentiful opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, swimming, river tubing, fishing, hunting, and more. The Chittenden Brook trail system starts at the campground and passes through a mature northern hardwood forest, along a pristine mountain stream, and past a beaver pond on its way to connecting with the Long Trail.

    Moosalamoo Campground is a small remote campground located at the base of Mt. Moosalamoo, near Voter Brook. A large mowed grass field in the middle of the campground is good for a variety of activities, especially for groups with children. There are 19 campsites (including one host site), six vault toilets and potable water is available on site via a hand-pump.

    The campground offers 18 overnight sites for tent and limited RV camping. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring (with grill). There are six accessible vault toilets located within the campground. The campground also offers first-come, first-served sites.

    The Moosalamoo National Recreation Area consists of 16,000 acres abounding with recreation opportunities. With over 70 miles of well-maintained trails, mountain vistas, waterfalls, lakes and streams, it offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, fishing, hunting and more. Two hiking trails (Mt. Moosalamoo and Voter Brook) are connected to the campground loop and less than a mile down the road is Voter Brook Overlook, featuring a picnic area and an accessible path leading to a western vista.

     

     

     

    Keeler Bay Campground near South Hero Vermont offers 28 seasonal and monthly RV sites adjacent to the shores of Lake Champlain.

    Mill Pond Campground in Franklin Vermont offers full and partial hookup RV and tent camping on the North East corner of Lake Carmi.

    Alburg RV Resort in Alburg Vermont caters to seasonal stays with full hookup RV sites. Interior sites available for short term guests.

    Caton Place Campground in Cavendish Vermont provides full, partial, and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping with open and shaded sites for short and long term stays.

    Champlain Adult Campground in Grand Isle Vermont is a well maintained full hookup RV and tent campground adjacent to Lake Champlain.

    Crown Point Camping Area in Perkinsville Vermont provides full, partial, and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping near Stoughton Pond in the Green Mountains.

    Winhall Brook Camping Area is nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont along Winhall Brook and the West River, seven miles from Ball Mountain Lake. The campground has strong appeal to the outdoorsman at heart, offering hiking, biking and fishing opportunities in a beautiful natural setting.

    Winhall Brook offers a total of 111 campsites; 14 are lean-to shelters and 23 have electric and water hookups. Flush toilets, showers, drinking water and dump stations are provided. Campers enjoy the park’s three playgrounds, four horseshoe pits, one basketball court and one volleyball court.

    The campground offers several waterways in which to fish and play. The West River and Winhall Brook are home to brook, rainbow and brown trout. Hiking and biking are popular summer activities with cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. The West River Trail stretches 16 miles along parts of the long-since-abandoned West River Railroad, providing a safe and scenic route for hiking, biking and cross country skiing in the winter months. The trail connects the villages of South Londonderry, Jamaica and Townshend. Ball Mountain Lake is nearby with fishing, boating, hiking and scenic overlooks. You can access the lake at our car-top boat launch which also provides shore fishing access. Hiking trails offer great views of Angel Falls to the north and Hamilton Falls to the south along the West River Trail. Water is released from the dam to create whitewater opportunities for rafting and kayaking the first weekend in May and the last weekend in September.

    Sportsman Campground in Addision Vermont provides full hookup RV camping catering to seasonal stays. May have short term sites if available.

    Knight Island State Park in North Hero Vermont is located in northern Lake Champlain and can be reached only by boat. You must make your own arrangements to get to and from the island. 7 campsites, 6 of them with rustic log lean-tos, are situated approximately equidistant around the 2.5 mile shoreline, and are connected by a trail system.

    Spruce Moose Campground in Greensboro Bend Vermont (Stannard) provides partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping.

    Horseshoe Acres Campground in Andover Vermont provides full and partial hookup RV and tent camping on grass sites for short and seasonal stays. Rural setting surrounded by forest.

    Iroquois Land Family Camping in North Clarendon Vermont provides full, partial, and tent camping in a rural location with grass sites.

    Grand Isle State Park in Grand Isle Vermont located on South Hero Island in Lake Champlain. The Island, also known as Grand Isle, is 14 miles long and over 3 miles wide, making it the largest in Lake Champlain. 117 tent/trailer sites, 36 lean-to sites.

    Onion River Campground in Plainfield Vermont provides full hookup RV and tent camping with shaded and open sites.

    Tree Farm Campground in Springfield Vermont offers full hookup RV and tent camping in a wooded setting for short and seasonal stays.

    Fort Dummer State Park in Brattleboro Vermont overlooks the site of Fort Dummer which was flooded when the Vernon Dam was built on the Connecticut River in 1908. The campground has 50 tent/trailer sites and 10 lean-to sites. These are located in two adjacent areas and are served by two toilet buildings, both with hot showers

    Lake St. Catherine State Park in Poultney Vermont contains 50 tent/trailer sites and 11 lean-to sitesa djacent to a recreational lake.

    Camping on the Battenkill in Arlington Vermont offers full hookup RV and primitive tent camping with both wooded and open sites adjacent to the Battenkill River in the Green Mountains.

    A quiet family and pet friendly campground on 40 acres of forest with two rivers on two sides of the park. Our sites are spacious and private.  We have a large open field and a natural swimming hole for our campers to enjoy.
