Cedar Ridge RV Park in Camden Tennessee provides 7 full hookup RV sites capable of handling most any sized RV. Situated on 40 acres the property is for self contained units (no restrooms or showers available) and is set in a wooded area. Packed gravel roads and parking pads. 1 Mile from Kentucky Lake the RV park is located 3.5 miles from Camden city limits in a rural setting. Pull thru and backin sites are available. Rates vary based upon utility electrical hookups need; 30 amp = $30 per night and 50 amp = $35 per night.
In addition to the RV sites the property has 4 nice lodges with full baths and kitchens available. Listed on Homeaway and VRBO these cabins are a suitable option to stay in the area.
Many annual events take place nearby on both the lake and in the forest areas including Motocross races, fishing tournaments and other outdoor related events.
Poland Creek Campground and Recreational Facility in Louisville Tennessee offers 26 electric sites, 16 by the shoreline and 12 in the center, plus eight tent sites. The electric sites are typically rented for the entire season during the first week of business, and on weekends and holidays it can be difficult to get a tent lot. Located on a small peninsula the park has grass sites in a park like setting. A city park the location allows guests to stay long term so lots of locals leave their RVs there during the season.
From the park: Poland Creek Campground and recreational facility is located on Lowes Ferry Road in Louisville. It is bordered by scenic Fort Loudoun Lake. The facility is leased to the town from TVA. The facility contains a 34-site campground, restrooms, boat launch and parking. Twenty-four sites have electricity, and there are both lake-front and lake-view campsites. Tent site numbers (13-17, 32-34) rent for $18/day, lakefront electric site numbers (18-31) rent for $30/day ($475 monthly) and lakeview electric site numbers (1-12) rent for $25/day ($400 monthly). The normal camping season is April through October. Special arrangements can be made for off-season events.
Danville Park Campground near Danville Tennessee (Stewart TN) is a brand new county park being developed for potential opening by Summer 2018. 11 tent sites with fire pits, grills and picnic tables just across Ferry Road along the fishing pond bank. In addition 11 full hookup RV sites will be established along an access road that will run along a ridge facing the water. Each site will include sewer, water and electric hook-ups, as well as grills, picnic tables, fire pits and garbage cans.
A dump station for RV waste water also is included in the project.
Located along the East shore of the Tennessee River.
Poole Knobs Campground near Lavergne Tennessee is a US Corp of Engineers Park offering 87 partial hookup and primitive tent and RV sites. As with the majority of COE parks the location is easily accessed for larger rigs with ample space between sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Playgrounds, trails, boat launch, restrooms and showers are available. Advanced reservations are available and encouraged. Set in a rural setting the park is not far from urban sprawl around Smyrna (and south Nashville). Open seasonally.
Lazy Llama Campground in South Chuckey Tennessee provides full hookup RV and tent camping in a newly remodeled (2017) campground. Featuring a Llama farm and onsite art classes the family run park has gravel roads and parking pads with mowed grass separation. 31 campsites mixed among the large trees and nearby winding nature trails of their farm.
The campground has sites that range from 25-35 feet wide and 65-100 feet long, including six large pull-through sites to accommodate large RVs. Wifi is available. Sites are terraced into a hillside.
Yarberry Peninsula Campground near Lenoir City Tennessee provides partial hookup RV and tent camping in a scenic area along the banks of the Little Tennessee River and Fort Loudoun Lake. The campground has paved roads with gravel parking pads and mowed grass surrounds. Sites can be had on the water or inland but all are pretty and reasonably priced. The location was recently updated and re-opened making it very popular. Rates include short and long term options with some RVs left out there as a vacation place (most of the sites are designated as “long term”).
Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Trails take guests down to the shore and around the campground. Well run the location is popular on weekends and holidays. A boat ramp is available as are boat rentals.
Davy Crockett Campground near Crossville Tennessee offers full and partial hookup RV and tent camping in a family friendly park. Forested setting with pool and spa, on site restaurant and lake. Exit 311 from I-40.
A Dream Catcher RV Resort in Seviewrville Tennessee offers full hookup RV sites developed by full time RV travelers who built “their ideal park”. Ragland Bottom Campground is a COE Campground west of Sparta Tennessee is located along the shores of Center Hill Lake. 39 sites with water and electric hookups, as well as 16 primitive tent sites. A large group day-use picnic area is available as well, with water and 15-amp electric hookups. Boating, waterskiing, canoeing and fishing are popular activities on the water. Nine miles of hiking trails meander around the lake.
