    Big Rig RV Park Campground in Sturgis South Dakota provides full hookup pull thru sites on packed dirt close to Sturgis and the popular Black Hills area.

    From the park: A campground with spectacular views of the Black Hills located just 2 miles from the legendary Sturgis Main Street featuring large, full-service, pull-thru, RV campsites for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Located on the West side Sturgis and I-90 next to the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Track. The park is located approximately 2 miles from the legendary Sturgis Main Street.

    Very Easy Access – very little traffic congestion getting to the action on the Sturgis Main Street. Easy access in and out of Sturgis to I-90, Boulder Canyon, Vanocker Canyon and the attractions of the Black Hills. Grocery store and gas stations are less than 3 minutes from the Park.

    Fort Pierre Motel in Fort Pierre South Dakota offers 6 full hookup RV sites adjacent to a small hotel that caters to sportsmen and anglers. The backin sites are accessible to any sized RV with the RV nose facing the street.

    PAMS Getaways Campground and Cabins just south of Custer South Dakota offers full hookup RV camping and cabins in the heart of the Blackhills. Located adjacent to US 385 the park has 7 full hookup and 5 partial hookup RV sites in an open setting. For cyclists the Mickelson Trail is located across the highway. Nightly rates are reasonable while long term rates are cheap.

    The Bay at Grand River Casino near Mobridge South Dakota provides partial hookup (electric) RV camping sites near the shores of Lake Oahe. Paved roads with gravel pads the RV sites are open during warmer months and are reasonably priced ($19 per night as of 2017). Water spigots are dispersed through the grounds and  a dump station is available. The campground area also has cabins available, a small store, and boat ramps. Located east of the casino, closer to Mobridge, the campground is on the southside of the highway and is easily accessed for any sized RV.

    24 Express RV Campground Behind Mobil Station in Wasta South Dakota provides electric hookup RV camping with long packed gravel pull thrus just off Interstate 90 east of Rapid City and West of Wall SD. $10 per day there is a self pay box near the entrance. This is not a destination but is suitable for overnight stays. A new military museum is also located adjacent to the park (note the owner has asked that you not take ANY photos of the museum. or its attractions without getting his express, and we suggest written, consent).

    8 Electric hookup 50, 30, 20 amp power pedestals behind a self-service fuel station. There is a dump station available on site and a fresh water fill located at the dump area (no water or sewer at the sites). The lot is packed gravel suitable for overnight stop when cruising down the highway.

    River View RV Park in Ft Pierre South Dakota offers full hookup RV sites on packed gravel set on a hillside looking back down towards the river (hence the name). The small park has backin sites for short and long term stays (note the sites back up to one another so if there is no rig in the back site pull thru may be possible). No amenities the park is for self contained units only. Larger RVs can fit but the spacing is cramped.

    Okobojo Point Recreation Area Campground near Ft. Pierre South Dakota offers primitive (no utilities) hookup RV and tent camping adjacent to a recreational lake. Gravel roads and parking pads the campsites are generally well spaced with plenty of privacy. Titled as “group sites” the camping area provides plenty of room for any size RV and or camping group (well not any size you can’t throw a rave here). The state managed park provides access to fishing, a boat ramp, and some trails. As a state park fees are higher for out of state travelers. A bit more rustic than the other locations this campground is good for folks looking for a bit more privacy.

    Cow Creek Recreation Area Campground near Pierre South Dakota offers partial and primitive (no utilities) hookup RV and tent camping adjacent to a recreational lake. Paved roads with gravel parking pads and plenty of mowed grass. The state managed park provides access to fishing, a boat ramp, and some trails. As a state park fees are higher for out of state travelers. In addition to the campground campsites there are a handful of primitive campsites located out on their own on little peninsulas.

    Country Club Motel and RV Park in Winner South Dakota offers full hookup RV sites behind a small hotel. Just west of town the sites are on a gravel and level lot with backins against the motel building and a second row out away from the structure.

    Southern Hills RV Park & Campground in Hermosa South Dakota offers full hookup RV camping for short and long term stays. 30 Full-Service 50-Amp RV Spots, spacious campsites with dedicated parking, picnic area and lawn, and shower house complete with laundry facilities.

    Crystal Park Campground in Miller South Dakota offers partial hookup (electric) RV and tent camping in a city run park. Available on a first come first served basis the sites are free with a donation box available. There is a large play area, plenty of picnic tables, a new fire pit, a gazebo, lots of shade and excellent sledding hills in the winter. Sites are set on mowed grass areas with a few picnic tables and fire rings available. Electric is available with 50, 30, and 20 amp options. The main grassy area is very long and easily handles large rigs.

    Playgrounds, disc golf, a small lake and all in a quiet rural community park. Pit toilets are available but no showers. Length of stay is limited to 2 nights.

    Whitewood Campground and Events Center in Whitewood South Dakota is the official campground for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Located 6 miles from the happenings the park offers primitive camping with various levels of hookups and services available (electric, water, and sewer concierge). Close to I-90. NOTE: As of 10/2015 there are reports of a bankruptcy filing

    South 81 RV Court in Watertown South Dakota offers full hookup RV sites catering to long term tenants.

    High Country Guest Ranch near Hill City South Dakota offers full hookup RV sites in the heart of the beautiful Black Hills. Ranch activities include trail rides, ATV rentals, heated outdoor swimming pool, biking and hiking on the Mickelson Trail, family-friendly entertainment, convenience store, fire pits and hot tubs. Sites are against the bike trail and Brule stadium.

    Hi-Way Motel RV Sites in Clark South Dakota offers 5 full hookup RV sites adjacent to a small roadside motel located along US 212.

    Fisher Grove State Park Campground near Frankfort South Dakota offers partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping adjacent to the historic river crossing on the James River. Managed by the Fisher Grove Country Club an 18 hole golf course is also onsite at this prairie oasis. Tucked off the highway the state park has paved roads with gravel pads. Mostly backins there are a few pull alongs too. Suitable for any sized RV the sites are relatively level and surrounded by mowed grass.

    There is a dump station with fresh water fill available.

    South Dakota State Parks maintains an asinine site reservation process. There is NO first come first served sites allowed. Whether you pull up to get a site that night or book in advance you ARE REQUIRED to call their reservation line or book online. There are additional fees for both. In addition unless you are a South Dakota resident there are additional fees for non-residents. What starts out as a reasonable nightly rate quickly becomes expensive.
