Myrtle Beach State Park Campground in Myrtle Beach South Carolina provides full, partial, and primitive hook up RV and tent camping sites in a scenic State Park setting. Located in a popular tourist area the state park retains a southern charm that would have been found here before development started along the coast.

Heavily forested visitors enter off the main highway and immediately drive through a thick forest of trees. The roads are passable for most any size RV but once inside the campground things are a bit tight for large RVs. We would only recommend experience drivers enter the location if you are a novice driver in a large, or towing a large, RV. For owners of a smaller RV the park is more accessible but there are plenty of trees, posts, and pillars waiting to leave their mark.

The campsites are situated on packed sand with plenty of natural trees providing privacy. There are pull-thru and back in options along with tent sites and extra large back in sites. In addition to the campsites there are also cabins available for rent.

The nicely kept state park has plenty of trails and access to the lovely beaches along the Atlantic Ocean including a pier that goes out into the surf. There are playgrounds located within the campground and within the state park along with picnic areas and multi-use trails option in the area
