    Located on US Hwy 2 just two miles west of the town of Troy, this is a well kept park with constant upgrades. The location will easily handle any size RV that wants to enter. Both Pull-Thru and Back-In sites are available and each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground also had a coin-op laundry, restrooms with showers, WiFi, Propane and a Camp Store.
    The campground is only a short drive from the Kootenai Falls and Swing Bridge, Bull Lake, Lake Koocanusa, the Ross Creek Cedars and the area of NW Montana known as “The Yaak”. The campground offers discounted weekly rates as well as military discounts. If you are traveling this area, stop in the camp store and say hi. This is not just a campground, it is also our home and we want to help make your trip through Montana the very best it can be.

    Yellowstone Park / West Entrance KOA near West Yellowstone Montana offers full and partial hookup RV and tent camping with KOA level amenities. Family friendly with mini golf, playground, and heated indoor pool. Some sites are right next to the road.

    Rising Sun Campground located in Glacier National Park Montana is west of St. Mary and halfway along St. Mary Lake. Offering primitive tent and RV camping with convenient access to the park. A shuttle stop serves this location so campers can enjoy other areas along the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

    The Rising Sun Inn is adjacent to the campground with a small restaurant and store available for supplies. The campground has paved roads and parking pads. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site but surprisingly (amazingly) bear boxes are not. There are shared bear boxes dispersed throughout the campground. Bears are a problem at this campground, and all Glacier National Park campgrounds for that matter. Properly store and handle food and scented items to avoid drawing the bears into the campground.

    Water spigots are located throughout the campground. Comfort stations, ie restrooms, are convenient also. There is a dump station available with fresh water fill for RVs.

    Rising Sun is the last stop and turn around for any vehicle exceeding the 21′ length restriction for the Logan Pass. This campground recommends no RVs over 25′ due to tight roads and small sites.

    Two loops of campsites available with most being pull thru style. A pretty location this campground tends to fill before noon during peak season.

    A convenient location for boat tours on St. Mary Lake and Otokomi Lake trailhead which is located next to the campground.

    The surrounding forest is suffering from heavy beetle kill in the large trees.
