    Northern Michigan’s Best RV Park and Campground

    Manton Trails RV Park, Hotel & Campground is located 15 minutes north of Cadillac and 45 minutes SE of Traverse City in the quaint town of Manton, Michigan. Our bath house is huge, very clean, and compared with the “closet-sized” showers offered by the typical campground, we offer “luxury” that most campers really enjoy! We are spread across 80 acres with 146 sites and surrounded by thousands of acres of State land to explore and close to the State’s ORV and Side-by-Side Trail Head (MISS-KAL) of the Manistee National Forest. This ORV Trailhead allows direct access to Michigan’s many miles of Side-by-Side Trails. Guests can take ORV trips to Traverse City, Cadillac, Petoskey and even the Upper Peninsula and Mackinaw Island. ATVs and ORVs can be parked within your site(s) and ridden to the ORV Trailhead. If the weather outside is too hot, take a dip in our one-acre Lake/Pond or float down the nearby Manistee River courtesy of Chippewa Landing Livery.

    Manton Trails RV Park, Hotel & Campground is located between Traverse City and Cadillac in the quaint town of Manton, Michigan. The park is spread across 80 acres in and around the Manistee River and Manistee Forest area. From the property, you can hike to the Manistee River or ride from your site to the ATV Trails and State “MISS-KAL” Trailhead. Bring your ORV, Side-by-Side, or UTV, there is plenty of trailer parking. Boat and ATV rentals are nearby. We can also store your RV, boat, or trailer for the Winter inside our massive 12,000sf storage building.

    Union River ‘Big Bear’ Campground Located 15 miles west of Ontonagon, 2 miles west of Silver City, at the entrance to the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park.  Just across the road from Lake Superior with a mile of sandy beach, we have 40 quiet, spacious, level campsites surrounded by forest, with power and water, dump station on site, picnic tables, fire rings, a very nice indoor restroom and shower building, wifi, pets welcome.  The Porcupine Mountain State Park offers 90 miles of hiking/walking trails, towering cliffs, numerous waterfalls, lakes, streams, old growth forest, a high point (Summit Peak) and the beautiful Lake of the Clouds scenic area.

    Grassy Lake Road Campsites situated along Grass Lake Road in between Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park provide another camping option in the area. Located a few miles west from the main highway (Headwaters area) along a packed and well used dirt/ gravel road. These sites are available on a first come/ first served basis for small RVs and tent campers. Many of the sites have a scenic view looking over the valley and river. Multiple camping “loops” with a few sites and pit toilet are available. Free camping this is unique option for the area.

    20 primitive campsites along a gravel road passable to all vehicles with picnic tables, pit toilets, trash cans, and food storage boxes.  No water.  Free of charge – first come, first served.  Some sites are suitable for small RVs.

    Northpointe Shores RV Resort in Ira Township Michigan opened in 2018 with paved roads and concrete pads. Upscale amenities and a location right on the water highlight this summertime retreat. The park has age restrictions on guest RVs, no older than 15 years, with size limits up to 45′

    Northpointe Shores RV Resort is a quiet, upscale adult resort on the shores of Anchor Bay in Ira Township, Michigan. Conveniently located just two miles from New Baltimore, you’ll find fantastic shopping, dining and entertainment.

    A boat launch with transient wells is available adjacent to the resort, combining your favorite activities—RVing and boating—in one great destination! Our resort has 34 paved sites, all with full hookup available for days, weeks, months or seasonal stays.

    Upper Peninsula State Fair Campground in Escanaba Michigan provides full, partial and primitive hookup RV and tent camping on the fairgrounds property. open to camping outside of fair weekends check the event calendar to ensure sites will be available. Located in town the fair can accommodate any sized RV.

    Shakey Lakes Park Campground near Stephenson Michigan provides partial hookup RV and tent camping in a county park. From one night to seasonal sites, great fishing, hiking, picnicking, and swimming (no life guard on duty).

    The camping areas have 20-30-and 50 Amp electrial service available. This area of the park has rest rooms with showers and a dump station. A new playground was recently installed.

    For those of you who like to rough it, there are Primitive sites with pit toilets.

    The beautiful sandy beach area offers a beach house with restrooms.

    A nearby Pavillion is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenic view of Resort Lake.

    The park offers two boat launches: the Resort Lake launch the the Bass Lake launch.

    Fishing is great in any of the lakes. If hiking is for you, a nature trail of about 2 miles offers you gorgeous views of the lakes and wild life of the area.

    Fox County Park Campground in Cedar River Michigan is located along the shores of Green Bay and offers primitive tent and small RV camping in a public park. Popular for locals there are only pit toilets at this location. Enjoy the sand and waters at Fox County Park Campground.

    Mason County Fairgrounds Campground in Ludington Michigan provides partial hookup RV and tent camping on fairground property. The sites are set on mowed grass with paved roads and provide access to the fairground property. Little known the campground is generally lightly used outside of scheduled events at the fairgrounds. 4 bathroom facilities with 12 showers to choose from.

    Crystal View Campground at Twisted Trails Off Road Park near Copemish Michigan offers primitive and some electric hookup RV and tent camping sites near the off-road trails. Primarily a destination for off-road enthusiasts the campground and off road park host regular events and trail driving activities. Fees are based on a per person charge of $10 per person for primitive and $15 per person for electric. Sites are in a wooded setting with dirt roads and porta potties.

    OB Fuller Campground near Bark River Michigan provides partial hookup RV and tent camping in a county run campground along the shores of Lake Michigan. The sites are tucked into a wooded setting and guests have access to a swim beach, playground, fishing area, and restrooms with showers. Sites have 20,30,50 amp electric.

    Kewadin Casino Hessel RV Park in Hessel Michigan offers primitive and 30 amp electric RV camping sites in a grassy area adjacent to the parking lot for the casino. Reasonable fees the area is suitable for an overnight stay but is nothing fancy. 40 sites including 7 pull through and 10 sites with 30 amp electrical services. No dump station is available. reasonable fees.

    Jack Pine Lodge Lodge, Resort and Campground near Manistique Michigan is located in the Hiawatha National Forest in a rural setting along M94. Popular during winter months for snowmobiling the park has a very nice full and partial hookup RV campground during non-frozen times. All backin sites with packed gravel roads and parking pads the RV campground can easily handle any sized RV. The sites are tucked in to a forested setting but is plenty clear of trees. Off-road trails depart this location and it is popular for ATV and UTV riders to use as a base camp to explore trails.

    There is a new shower/ bathhouse. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. For the partial hookup sites there is an easy to access dump station on the way out.
