    Wenks Landing sits upstream of Bayou Bodcau Dam, alongside Bayou Bodcau. The small quiet campground is a Class B campground, and is open year-round to visitors. Bodcau provides fishing and boating opportunities, along with hiking/biking trails and other recreation. Bayou Bodcau is a large wildlife management area, and is very popular during hunting season for deer and other wild game.

    Wenk’s Landing Recreation Area has 11 campsites, all of which are primitive and provide a fire ring, grill, picnic table, lantern pole, and trash can. Almost all campsites at Wenk’s are along the banks of the bayou, providing beautiful scenery. Amenities at this recreation area include flush toilets, a boat ramp, and potable water spigot.

    Beaver Dam Campground is situated on the shores of Upper Caney Lake in the Caney Lakes Recreation Complex. The campground is located in a beautiful setting among woods, lakes and hills. Swimming, boating, fishing and water skiing are the top activities. Sugar Cane National Recreation Trail passes right next to the campground and offers varied terrain for hikers and bikers. The Sugar Cane trail was named for the crop that was once cultivated here, in addition to cotton.

    Campsites come with electric and water hookups. The group picnic area accommodates up to 200 guests while each campsite fits up to eight campers. A sanitary dump station, drinking water and flush toilets are provided.

    Beaver Dam sits at an elevation of 160 feet along the north shores of the 125-acre Upper Caney Lake. The group picnic area is near Lower Caney Lake, spanning 250 acres. Kisatchie National Forest, the only national forest in Louisiana, spans 604,000 acres and mostly consists of bayous with bald cypress groves and old growth pine.

    Tom Merrill Recreation Area sits downstream of Bayou Bodcau Dam, along the Bodcau Creek. The small quiet campground provides all the facilities of a Class A campground, and is open year-round to visitors. Bodcau Creek provides fishing and boating opportunities, along with hiking/biking trails and other recreation. Bayou Bodcau is a large wildlife management area, and is very popular during hunting season for deer and other wild game.

    Downtown Bossier City and Shreveport are only a 30-45 minute drive away, and have many opportunities for other interests such as museums and restaurants. Bodcau is well off the main travel roads, so traffic and other noise issues are of no concern.

    The campground has no designated fee booth and is by-reservation-only, so all reservations must be made through recreation.gov. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance or upon arrival; we recommend reserving prior to entering the campground.

    Tom Merrill Recreation Area has 20 campsites, all of which have electric hookups. Some campsites are closer to the forest, while some are more open within the park. All sites are within walking distance of the water. Amenities at this recreation area include flush toilets, showers, playground, outdoor exercise equipment, dump station, a game cleaning station, disc golf course, and bike trail. The outlet channel, where Bodcau Reservoir drains into the Bodcau Creek, is an excellent place for fishing.

    Parkside RV Park in Broussard Louisiana provides 54 full hookup RV sites.

    Midway RV Park & Marina is formerly Jones’ Riverside Marina & RV Park. It was purchased in September of 2021 by Randy and Tina Stone. Since the change of ownership, many improvements have been made, not forgetting that this is Louisiana and guests that visit the facility should experience the real Louisiana. We are located on the beautiful Red River and have kayaks to rent or launch your boat at our free boat ramp.

    Reunion Lake RV Resort in Roberts Louisiana provides full hookup RV camping with concrete roads and pads alongside a huge pool and water play area. Now owned by Sun RV Resorts.

    Hidden Pines Campground in Egan Louisiana is a family friendly campground with 65 sites that range from 45 to 80 feet long.  All sites are 30/50 amp capable with water and sewer.

    From the park: We have 2 pools, and 2 water slide .  2 swings sets and 2 playgrounds also.  We also have a 5000 square foot pavilion for hosting bands and activities.  We have coin-operated laundry located in both bathhouses which are open 24 hours for your convenience.     Hidden Treasure RV Resort in Boyce Louisiana offers full hookup RV camping sites (water, electric, sewer, and Wi-Fi) 20 minutes from Alexandria, LA. Adjacent to Cotile Lake with private boat docks and gazebo available the 11 acres property has great bird watching. 24 sites total. Dirt roads with sites set on mowed grass the park has a natural setting. Any size RV can be accommodated.

    Antique Village RV Park in SImsboro Alabama provides full hookup RV camping in a wooded setting just south of Interstate 20 exit 77. Both short and long term rates the park can accommodate most any sized RV (but is tucked into the trees so use caution). Dirt roads and parking pads the park is situated on rolling terrain with elevation changes throughout. A small pond for fishing is located within the park.

    Antique Village RV Park has restrooms with showers and a laundry available. The small town of Simsboro is about 1 mile south of the park.

    Morgans’ Landing & RV Park in Natchitoches Louisiana offers full hookup RV camping in an open setting adjacent to the Red River. An onsite boat ramp and the adjacent recreation boat ramp are the primary draws to this rural setting. Rates are available for short and long term stays the park is not well noted and is primarily a draw for locals look to catch fish.

    Grand Ecore RV Park in Natchitoches Louisiana offers full hookup RV camping in a brand new RV park adjacent to the Grand Ecore Recreation Area. 59 RV sites consisting of 24 pull-through sites and 35 back in sites.

    Amenities include a fully gated facility, asphalt roads and concrete RV Pads, water, sewer, and electric at each site, fire rings, activity center with seating for over 100 with a full kitchen, high speed WiFi throughout the park, a bathhouse with 12 individual restrooms with showers and a laundry room.

    The adjacent recreation area has a 2-lane concrete boat launch, an asphalt access road, parking lot for 108 vehicles and trailers, comfort station and a floating wharf.

    From Natchitoches, travel eastbound on Hwy. 6 . Turn left at the Corps of Engineers Welcome Center on Tauzin Island Road prior to the Red River Grand Ecore bridge.

A small pond is located on site as are a playground and laundry facilities. The park is priced to target long term tenants with monthly rates equivalent to 10 days of a daily rate.

    Alligator Lake Recreation Area RV Park in Fort Polk Louisiana offers full hookup RV sites for short and long term stays adjacent to a public recreation area with fishing lake. Sites are 10 x 44 foot concrete slabs with a 10 x 12 foot patio, table and grill. Laundry, restrooms, and showers are available.  Tent sites are adjacent to the RV Park. Campers may use the coin laundry, restrooms and showers.

    Acadian Oasis RV Park in Youngsville Louisiana is a new RV park (opened in 2017/2018) offering 32 full hookup RV camping sites on concrete pads. the park has a paved road with concrete pads. A small pond is located on site for fishing. Sites are angled to the road for easy backin access.

    Gator Grounds RV Resort in Bunkie Louisiana offers full hookup RV camping adjacent to a water park and golf course. Located in a rural setting the park is easy to access for any size RV. Paved roads and site pads the location provides for a great getaway for adults or kids.
